Her money architecture will exist: subscription price, paid-unlock price band, and the rule for what's free versus what pays. Set once, adjusted with data, never agonized over again.
Pricing is where creators psych themselves out β too high feels greedy, too low feels safe, and both instincts are wrong. Here's the truth: the subscription is the front door, not the business. For most creators, most revenue comes from paid unlocks and tips inside the relationship, which means the sub price's only job is to be an easy yes, and the unlock prices' job is to match the moment. We're setting a system, not picking magic numbers.
| Price | Job | Instinct to fight |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription | Easy yes β gets them in the door | "Higher = more serious business" (no: higher = fewer doors opened) |
| Paid unlocks (PPV) | The actual revenue β priced per drop | "Keep it cheap so everyone buys" (no: fans pay for special, cheap reads as not-special) |
| Tips | Bonus, never begged for | "Ask for tips" (never β tips follow delight) |
you're not competing on price, and you're not "cheap." The sub is low because the money is inside β that's strategy, not modesty.
Set the unlock band. The studio's inbox proposes paid unlocks inside a price band you control β the default band is $6β$30, and it's a good starting truth: singles and small sets at the low end, premium sets and videos at the top. You'll price each actual drop in lesson 6-4; today you're just confirming the band fits.
Draw the free/paid line, once, in her voice: the feed is the trailer; the unlocks are the movie. Feed posts (the daily Fanvue slot from 3-4) stay free and stay SFW-forward β they're what converts visitors into subscribers. Everything spicier, more personal, or more produced is an unlock. If you ever hesitate over where something goes, it's an unlock.
Flip the Fanvue-side visibility levers. Settings β Creator settings β Profile. Four switches live there, and new accounts ship with the most important one OFF: Discoverability (turn it ON β it's how strangers find her inside Fanvue) Β· Follow for free (leave ON β free followers are your funnel) Β· Allow followers messaging (your call; 6-3 revisits it) Β· Blur preview images (leave ON β Fanvue's own hint says it increases sales, and your drops lean on it). Five minutes of free, platform-native reach β the levers most creators never touch.

~15 minutes.
All three prices exist in writing and the sub price is live on her page. The architecture is set. Now we make the content that fills it.
You don't know their renewal rate, their unlock revenue, or whether they're profitable β you're comparing your architecture to their front door. Run yours for 30 days of data before comparing anything.
Not in month one. Discounts teach fans to wait for discounts. The sub is already the easy yes β fan-facing promotions become a tool once there's buying history to promote against, and your coach will help you time the first one (the deep tooling lives in the Vault's monetization Looms).
They exist and they're real tools β for an account with buying history to build bundles from. Revisit with your coach after your first dollar; the Vault's monetization Looms cover the machinery. Architecture first.
The 30-day rule: no price changes for 30 days unless something is broken-broken. Every price feels wrong the day you set it; data is the only opinion that counts.
Prices exist β now the content that earns them. Next lesson: the content ladder, including the part you've been asking about since Phase 2: how her NSFW tier works, safely and profitably.
